DEBTEC is a two-tiered organization. It has a General Committee, an Executive Committee and the Secretariat. The 21 member strong General body is the highest policy making body which holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) to review the performance of Executive Committee and the achievement of the organization. Every two year the General Body members elect a 7-member Executive Committee. The Executive Committee members are responsible to carry out the planned programs, financial activities and conduct evaluation and audit at the end of the year. It has an Advisory Committee consisting of academicians, scientists, researchers, development professionals and social workers. The Executive Committee seeks their suggestion for the improvement of the organization. The Advisory Committee members has no vote to elect Executive Committee members or on any decision-making issues. The Executive Committee under the leadership of the Chairman implements the works under a participatory approach.

| DEBTEC secretariat is situated in Dhaka (House No. 90, Road No. 11/A, Dhanmondi R/A, Dhaka 1209). All the activities are directed form this office. This office has been maintaining effective relations with field staffs and the beneficiaries. All the activities are monitored and evaluated form this office. Different management and financial tools have been put to use to access the performance of the program staff numbering over 15. They work at this office under the direct supervision of the Executive Director. They also under take field visits as required and keep close touch with the beneficiaries and other stakeholders. They collect and analyze data and performance, to keep the programs on its right track. This office maintains liaison with Government, Researchers, Donors, NGOs, Local Government Representatives and other relevant Stakeholder. This office also prepares reports, and gathers and disseminates information. This office organizes the General and Executive Committee meetings and organizes both internal and external audits as well. |
DEBTEC at present has six field offices - at Gazipur, Laxmipur, Modhupur-Tangail, Kholabari-Natore, Paikgacha-Khulna and Bandarban districts. All field level activities are carried out from these six field-offices. There are 10 staffs working in these six offices under the supervision of a field co-ordinator at each office. These field staffs maintain direct contacts with the beneficiaries, pay regular visits and monitor the programs. Managers adopt a participatory approach in implementing the programs. They provide finance related information and data to the head office and ensures effective managerial achievements. |
